Manchester United have been handed a big boost as an MRI scan confirmed Romelu Lukaku has not suffered ankle ligament damage.
The Manchester United striker has been in phenomenal form for his club with eleven goals in ten games this season, but sat out training with the Belgium squad on Monday. Lukaku reported for international duty in Brussels as normal, but spent the day being checked over by the medical team. Belgium have confirmed the issue is not serious in a statement.

Lukaku suffered the injury in training on Friday and is still dealing with the issue despite starting United’s last game. The Belgian scored in the 4-0 win against Crystal Palace and played 90 minutes in the convincing win.
