Manchester United transfer target Ivan Perisic to hold talks with Inter Milan

Inter Milan boss Luciano Spalletti has hinted that Ivan Perisic has been 'distracted' by talk of a summer transfer to Manchester United .




MEN Sport understands that the 28-year-old is already planning for life at Old Trafford and expects to join the club ahead of the transfer window closing.




An agreement has not yet been reached between United and Inter Milan over a fee, but Perisic's camp do not believe that will prove an issue.

It is understood that the Croatian 'appreciates' and 'enjoys' the work of Jose Mourinho and is keen on playing in the Champions League again after a four-year absence.

And, although Inter resisted cashing in on the winger to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations last month, Spalletti admits they will sit down for talks about his future.

"I will speak to everyone and, of course, for those who are ‘distracted’ there will be different words," he said.

"I will listen to him (Perisic). I’m counting on him but we’ll have to understand his intentions. It would not be nice for me to hear him say words like ‘I want to leave’. We’ll see.

"You keep talking about Perisic and his desire to leave but I need to listen to his own words first and then decide how to act.

"In any case, I will say this: we are Inter and we can choose to make different decisions to the ideas of the players.

"I hope to have him in the side, I am counting on it and I am positive in that sense."
